The µWEB Lite family of intelligent wireless modems can enable a a display to become wireless. A GSM/GPRS modem module is integrated within digital signage to create a wireless display, which can download large files from a central FTP server. Files are streamed to the display via the modem serial port. The wireless display is able to initiate file transfer in response to an SMS message, which identifies the server file to be downloaded. Customer's proprietary protocol can be integrated inorder to bridge the format of the streamed data into a form that wireless displays can understand.
