Each machine and asset is different! Comtech offer varied devices for asset monitoring, which can be tailored to the specific equipment through a combination of standard platforms, configuration and simple interfacing. Optional features : -
Remote access and routing on-demand over wireless networks
- IP Routing between the equipment and 3rd party applications e.g. PC utilities , web-browsers, SNMP , SCADA, BACNET etc
- Gain access to real-time information remotely such as status, diagnostic information and remotely update equipment firmware.
Status monitoring and recording
- Automatic recording and interrogation of status information such as asset usage, consumable levels, location, alarm, environmental parameters etc.
- Logging of data at schedule times to aid trend reporting, optimisation of enterprise operations and replenishment of stock & consumables.
Alarm exception monitoring
- Checks asset status information for events that need an immediate response eg excessive temperature, stock too low, machine tamper etc.
Centralised asset monitoring & management
- Automatic transfer of data over wireless networks with the central asset management software at schedule times or immediately upon an alarm.
Standalone and networked assets
- The wireless monitoring unit can be integrated within individual assets and items of equipment or network mutiple assets into a centrally managed asset monitoring system, e.g. RFID readers, printers, building controls etc.
CONNECTING TO THE ASSET
Comtech offer standard ways of connecting to your asset such as Ethernet, RS232 serial or by intelligent sensors. System integration can be done by you or supported by our consultancy and system integration services or other partners.
